Map produced as part of an exploratory expedition to find a route for a dry-weather motor road from northern Nyasaland to Isoka in north-eastern Northern Rhodesia.Covers the western portion of the Nyika Plateau in north-west Nyasaland, and extends 60 miles westwards over the Northern Rhodesia border to the Luangwa River and Isoka. Portrays hydrology, relief by form lines and spot heights, roads and tracks, settlements, international boundaries and place names, and highlights a suggested route for the road to Isoka. Also includes a ray diagram from Mivula Hill and several indicative relief sketches.
