Map sheet and amendment tracing to portray the 200-mile mission routes between Lake Tana in north-western Abyssinia and Roseires in south-eastern Anglo-Egyptian Sudan. The missions were undertaken in 1920-21 to investigate the prospects of a dam to regulate the flow of the Blue Nile. Portrays hydrology, relief by form lines, settlements, mission routes, churches, water sources, triangulation points, place names and international and internal boundaries, and includes topographical and surveying notes.The sheet bears notes describing the contributions of the Sudan Survey Department and Messers Black, Grabham and Herbert.
